Figuratively, Yoga means connection of body, mind and soul. It is a system of techniques and methods aimed at harmonizing the human being with his / her primary nature. The path towards this deep self awareness can be very diverse. E.g. Bhakti – Yoga does it via devotion to a deity. However in our western world, we rather associate this path with Hatha Yoga, in which bodyworks and breathing techniques are central themes. Once we change our body via physical practice and breathing techniques, long established thinking and acting patterns get challenged and we continuously increase our self awareness.
Our practice on the Yoga Finca is grounded in Ashtanga, but we also practice more recent yoga styles like Hormone Yoga.We also use props, to get deeper into the postures and observe our bodies.
